2-Alarm Fire in Peterborough Street Apartment on Monday Night

The Boston Fire Department responded to a 2-alarm fire inside an apartment on Peterborough Street on New Year's Eve.

 

The Boston Fire Department responded to a 2-alarm fire on Peteborough Street on New Year's Eve. 

The fire started on the third floor of the 5-story brick apartment building around 5:30 p.m. before spreading into the walls and rising to the top floors, according to the Boston Fire Department. 

The fire department knocked down the fire after an hour, around 6:30 p.m. and began an extensive overhaul of the building. 

The building is a large apartment building that houses 30 apartments. 

There were no injuries related to the blaze.
