4 p.m. update: The investigation into the man's death by the Boston Police Department was ongoing. 

11:30 a.m. update: Police have confirmed the body found in the Fens Tuesday morning is a male. They would not yet give an approximate age. 

Police say the investigation is "still very active."

Boston Police are investigating a person's death in the Fenway this morning, after a body was found near the Fens on Tuesday morning. 

Boston Police said the body was found at 7:22 a.m. near 59 The Fenway. 

Police have set up a crime scene in the area and homicide detectives are investigating.
