Man Jumped off Mass. Ave Bridge on New Year's Eve

The Boston Fire Department has been searching the Charles River, but searches so far have been unsuccessful.

The Boston Fire Department is attempting to recover the body of a man who jumped off the Harvard Bridge from Massachusetts Avenue early on New Year's Day.

Boston Fire and police responded to a call at 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning that a man had jumped off the bridge. A cab driver reportedly saw him jump.

Massachusetts State Police, Cambridge Police and Boston Police spent several hours searching the water. State Police divers were still searching the river into late Tuesday morning.
