Boston Police are searching for a suspect in a Saurday afternoon armed robbery near Park Drive and Peterborough Street, according to public safety radio transmissions.

According to the scanner reports, police are searching for a black man, about five-foot-seven, with a thin build and wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and jeans. As of 4:30 p.m., officers were searching in the area.

The suspect allegedly robbed a woman with a gun, taking her iPhone before running toward the Longwood area. At this time, police aren't sure whether the black handgun was real or a fake.
