Boston City Councilor Tim McCarthy Endorses Joe Avellone for Governor

Boston City Councilor Tim McCarthy (D-5) today announced his endorsement of Joe Avellone’s campaign for Governor of Massachusetts.

“I am proud to endorse Joe Avellone to be the next Governor of Massachusetts,” said McCarthy, who represents Hyde Park, Mattapan and Roslindale. “Joe is the only candidate in this race who understands the middle class. I met Joe over the summer while I was campaigning. I was amazed to see him constantly at neighborhood events throughout the city; it was like nothing I've ever seen from a candidate running for Governor before. Hyde Park, Mattapan and Roslindale need a leader like Joe in the Governor's office. His track record of creating thousands of middle class jobs is what my district needs and that’s why I am supporting him.”

Whether it was with the Office of Neighborhood Services, the Boston Youth Fund, or most recently, the Department of Public Works, Tim has shown that he’s truly passionate about helping people and fixing problems. Tim truly cares about the people of Boston and I’m so proud to have his support.”
