Cape Cod Getaways, Vineyard Tours, Adventurous Activities and More Out for Auction at HomeStart Inc.’s Annual Fall Gala

Boston (September 19, 2012) – How does a relaxing Nantucket getaway surrounded by rolling hills and immaculate beaches sound?  Or perhaps a week in North Truro on Cape Cod in a secluded paradise is your perfect vacation.  If snow is more appealing, imagine a week-long getaway at the Attitash Grand Summit Hotel in New Hampshire, or taking in the city scene with a night on the town at the luxury Liberty Hotel and dinner at Scampo.  How about a Total Red Sox experience donated by Red Sox Catcher and HomeStart supporter Jarrod Saltalamacchia?  All of these great packages and much more will be featured as part of HomeStart Inc.’s annual Fall Gala silent auction.

HomeStart  is hosting One Night, One Mission, Ending Homelessness, on September 22, 2012, at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library.  The evening will honor three outstanding leaders and raise money through a silent auction for HomeStart’s mission to prevent and end homelessness in Boston. With 42 auction items, there is something for nearly every interest, from the avid golfer to the Boston sports fan.

Golfers will love the numerous experiences up for auction, such as a round of golf for four at private PGA Tour club TPC Boston, as well as a luxury golf outing for three at the stunningly beautiful Scottish links course Carnegie Abbey Club.

Boston sports fans will be elated by the “Total Red Sox Experience” donated by Jarrod Saltalamacchia, where the highest bidder will have a chance to go on-field for batting practice, enjoy two tickets for that night’s game, and receive an autographed game-used bat and baseball from Jarrod Saltalamacchia. Other great sports items in the auction include:

  • Two “Best Seats in the House” to a Celtics game

  • Two front row tickets to a Bruins game

  • Four tickets to the Patriots-Broncos game at the 45-yard line

Looking for a truly unique experience? Try learning to wake surf or having award winning chef Stefano Cordova prepare dinner for eight and  deliver it to your home. Bidders who love a challenge will also enjoy the three-months of free mixed martial arts training with professional fighters.
