Things to Know in Fenway-Kenmore Today, March 12: Spring Break Safety

Here's what's happening in the neighborhood today.

1. Weather: The National Weather Service is predicting a rainy day with a high of 54 degrees. Today's chance of precipitation is 80 percent. 

2. Spring Break Safety: Boston Police are all college students who are headed away from the city during their spring break weeks to secure their off-campus housing units, check all the locks on doors and windows, and ask neighbors to watch the area around your home. See here for more information.

Meet the Rock Lobster: Aaron Fricke, author of the acclaimed autobiography, Reflections of a Rock Lobster, will discuss his inspirational journey from bullied high school student to acclaimed author and activist at a post-show reception on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 10:30 pm at the Boston Center for the Arts' Calderwood Pavilion. 4. Meet your State Senator: State Senator William Brownsberger will be in the neighborhood today from 7 to 8 p.m. at Thorton's Fenway Grille (100 Peterborough Street.). See here for more information.
