Clover Food Truck Off Road Due to Salmonella Concerns

The popular food truck stops at Comm. Ave at BU on Mondays and Tuesdays.

If you're looking to get your Clover fix this week, you're going to have to wait.

The ownership of the Clover food truck, which stops at Commonwealth Ave at BU twice a week, announced this week that it would suspend all operations until further notice because of a salmonella scare.

"We learned late Friday that there is a salmonella outbreak in Massachusetts," Ayr Muir, founder and CEO of Clover Food Lab wrote in a blog post. "Some of the confirmed cases ate at Clover over the course of the days leading up to their illness."

Muir said the state doesn’t know yet where the salmonella is coming from and are currently investigating, but since some of the people who ended up sick did consume food from a Clover food truck, the company is suspending operations and is "scouring every surface of every operation," Muir said.

"We are examining our ingredients and suppliers," he said. "We’re going to be extra careful and we’re not opening any location until we learn more."
