Here's what a few area places have planned for New Year's Day:
Turner Fisheries: The Huntington Avenue seafood restaurant is serving a new brunch menu as well as their regular dinner menu. A la carte, 617-424-7425. 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Petit Robert Bistro: The Kenmore-area bistro is open for lunch and dinner on New Year's Day, offering their full regular menu. Regular prices, (617) 867-0600. 11 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Brasserie Jo: Start off 2013 with a New Year's Day jazz brunch buffet at Brasserie Jo. Includes dishes like coq au vin and skate wing, and a make-your-own bloody mary and mimosa bar. $35 per person, 617-425-3240, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
