Red Sox Nation's short national nightmare is over: Police have located Wally the Green Monster.
Boston Police tweeted that they recovered the costume. According to several reports, Wally was reported stolen earlier this afternoon after a Sox employee walked off while wearing the costume. The employee was not authorized to take the outfit.
The scofflaw was seem walking down Ipswich Street in the costume. After that, Twitter was ablaze with updates, sightings, and philosophical queries about whether Wally was stolen, kidnapped, or simply left the team.
