Skanska USA Buys Fenway Burger King

Plans are in the works for development at 1350 Boylston Street.

Skanska USA has bought the Burger King at 1350 Boylston Street near Fenway Park from The Copley Group for $12.5 million, the Boston Herald Reported.

According to the Herald, Skanska USA is not certain what will be built at this location at present and are currently working on a plan that the neighborhood will accept. They had previously presented plans for an office building, which was rejected by the Fenway Civic Association. The zoning regulation for this particular side of Boylston calls for development with 70 percent residential space at a height of 12 to 15 stories, or 150 feet tall.

The Association has voiced an interest in affordable condominiums, ranging in prices from $300,000 to $500,000 for the former Burger King site.
