Things to Know in Fenway-Kenmore, June 6: Pride Night at Fenway Park

Find out what's happening in the neighborhood today.

1. Weather: The National Weather Service is predicting a sunny day, with a high near 75 degrees. 

2. Boston Pride Night: Fenway hosts the first ever Pride Night at Fenway Park, where Boston's LGBT community will be recognized at the Boston Red Sox vs. Texas Rangers baseball game on Thursday night. Tickets for Pride Night at Fenway Park may be purchased (www.bostonpride.org).  The Red Sox will donate a percentage of the proceeds to benefit Boston Pride. See here for more information. 

3. Book Talk: Boston Building Resources (100 Terrace St.) in Roxbury hosts a book talk with Jeff Deyette, the co-author of the Boston Globe bestseller “Cooler Smarter: Practical Steps for Low-Carbon Living,” tonight at 6:30 p.m. Based on two years of research and analysis, the book shows the most effective strategies for reducing your global warming emissions, and how to take action at work, in your community, and politically. 4. Coeur de Pirate at Paradise: Cœur de Pirate (French for pirate heart) is the stage name for award-winning French-Canadian singer Béatrice Martin. Her whimsical, magical pop songs blend cabaret music, French lyrics and playful indie sensibilities. See here for more information. 

5. For the Sports Fans: The New England Revolution will host a special “Welcome Juan to Boston” event at Stadium Bar and Grille (148 State St.) giving fans a chance to meet Revolution and U.S. National Team forward Juan Agudelo in a casual setting ahead of the team’s game against D.C.
