Week in Review September 21 to 28 Including John Silber Passing

Here is a review of a few stories from this week.

Another week has come and gone and we are that much closer to October. The mercy killing of the 2012 Red Sox season is at hand and the real NFL refs have returned. This week, the city and B.U. received some sad news with the passing of John Silber.

John R. Silber, who served as president at Boston University for more than two decades and was an influential - and controversial - figure in Massachusetts politics, died on September 27 of kidney failure. He was 86.

3. Boy with Cerebral Palsy Throws First Pitch at Fenway: Thirteen-year-old Joe Scarlata of Braintree threw out the first pitch on Friday, September 21 before the Sox and Oriels game in recognition of a $25,000 CVS Caremark donation to Children’s Hospital.
