Police Arrest Fenway Resident for Assault and Battery on St. Stephen Street

Police arrested a Fenway resident on St. Stephen Street early last Friday morning.

A Boston man was charged with physical assault and battery early last Friday morning.

Officers responded to a harassment report on Saint Stephen’s Street on Dec. 17 at 5 a.m. When police arrived, they said they found a man standing in the doorway, smoking a cigarette. Officers asked him if he had called the police, to which, the man replied, “No I did not, there’s no problem here,” and blew smoke in the officer’s face, according to the police report. 

Police said the victim then came to the door, stating that he had called the police because he feared for his life. The victim was bruised, scratched up and bleeding from the nose.

Police said they separated the parties and asked what had happened. The victim told police he and the suspect had been drinking and got into a physical altercation.

Officers arrested Vasilios Konstaninou of 115 Saint Stephen St. and charged him with assault and battery.
