Cab Driver Assaulted on Kilmarnock Street

One man in a group of males allegedly punched and choked a cab driver instead of paying an $11.40 fare to get from Allston to the Yard House in Fenway.

A male suspect allegedly punched and chocked a cab driver to get out of paying a cab fare to get to the Yard House in Fenway, according to the Boston Police Department. 

Boston Police officers responded to a radio call about an assault and battery in progress in the area of Kilmarnock Street and Yawkey Way at about 12:07 a.m. on Sunday, November 11.

Upon arrival, the officers spoke with the victim who was assaulted by someone who had just gotten out of his cab.

The cab driver stated that he had picked up four college-aged white males on Commonwealth Avenue between Harvard Street and Allston Street. The suspects said that they were headed to the Yard House.

The cab driver said that when they arrived, one of the men punched him in the face and choked him, skipping out on an $11.40 bill.

The suspects headed in the direction of the Yard House, but police were unable to locate anyone matching their description.
