Northeastern Student Arrested for Causing A Scene at Springfest

Police arrested a Northeastern student who was ejected from the university's annual Springfest concert and celebration.

The following information was supplied by the Boston Police Department. Charges listed do not indicate convictions.

A Northeastern student got a little too rowdy at Springfest on Saturday.

Police said that after Mathew Michaelson of 696 Columbus Ave was kicked out of the university's annual concert for being too obnoxious, according to police, an officer tried to interview him around 8:20 p.m. According to the police report, offiers said he appeared intoxicated. He was ejected for obnoxious behavior, being too loud and boisterous, and alarming other concertgoers, according to police.

Officers said they tried to calm Michaelson down by having him sit down due to his unsteadiness, but he reportedly jumped up multiple times and tried to leave the area.

Due to his continued rowdiness, police said, officers arrested Michaelson and charged him with disorderly conduct.
