Police: Man Arrested for Fenway Bank Robbery

A Dorchester man was arrested this week for allegedly robbing the Sovereign Bank in Kenmore Square in June.

The following information was supplied by the Boston Police Department. Charges listed do not indicate convictions. 

Boston Police charged a Dorchester man in Somerville with unarmed bank robbery in Fenway on July 9.

Police reported receiving a radio call for a bank robbery in progress at the Sovereign Bank at 552 Commonwealth Avenue at about 1:36 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2013.

Officers were told that male suspect handed a note to the clerk, took money and ran towards Newbury Street.

The suspect handed the clerk a note that said, “Don’t panic. Give me your money. No bait. 20’s, 50’s, 100’s. No GPS," according to the police report.

The clerk handed the suspect about $1,300 in cash before leaving, taking the note with him.

Officers charged Michael Vick of 22 Gaylord Street, Dorchester with unarmed bank robbery.
