Police: Homeless Man Charged in April Assault and Battery

Boston Police charged a man who frequents the Fenway area with assault and battery.

The following information was supplied by the Boston Police Department. Charges listed do not indicate convictions. 

Police arrested a man on a warrant for assault and battery in the Fenway area. 

Boston police responded to a report of a person sleeping in an alleyway by the Church at about 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25. The person in question was known to the police and was wanted on a warrant out of Roxbury District Court for assault and threats to commit a crime.

The suspect was wanted for an assault and battery, which took place on April 6, 2013 at about 6:43 p.m. near 35 Peterborough Street.

The victim told police that while she was doing laundry at about 6 p.m., the suspect accused her of going through his bags and swung at her with a closed fist. The victim avoided the suspect’s attacks and called for help.

Police noted that the suspect was a known homeless man who frequented the Fenway area. Police also noted that the suspect is a known user of drugs and alcohol, and has a history of violence.

Michael Adams of 39 Boylston Street was charged with assault and battery.
