Police: Man Punched in Traffic Dispute

Road rage lead to a punch thrown on Lansdowne Street.

The following information was supplied by the Boston Police Department. Charges listed do not indicate convictions. 

Road rage lead to a reported assault and battery on Lansdowne Street. 

A 67-year-old man walked into the police station to report that he was punched in the shoulder by a driver who he had just exchanged words with in a traffic dispute at about 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 17 on Lansdowne Street.

The victim told police that a white male with red hair in a white shirt tried to open his car door while parked next to the victim’s car. The suspect was unable to open his door, so he reportedly reached threw his window and punched the victim, then got back into a grey sedan and took off towards Ipswich Street.

This investigation is ongoing.
