Scene Outside Fenway Park Monday Night for Loose Concrete Block

Boston Fire and police blocked off Brookline Avenue on Monday night to keep people out of the area.

The Boston Fire Department responded to Brookline Avenue outside Fenway Park on Monday night to secure the front of a building where officials believe a piece of concrete is in danger of falling.

The Boston Fire Department responded around 10 p.m. to block off the area around 250 Brookline Avenue, across from Fenway Park and Game On above Boston Beer Works to keep people out of the way of any falling pieces.

The response was just after Monday night's Red Sox vs. Rays game let out, so there were thousands of people in the area.

At about 10:50 p.m., the fire department cleared the scene. As of Tuesday morning, the street was open again as usual.
