Curt Schilling Reports His Cancer is in Remission

The current Medfield resident was diagnosed earlier this year.

Former Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling said Wednesday that his cancer is in remission. 

The current Medfield resident and ESPN analyst took to Twitter on Wednesday to announce that, as of Tuesday, June 24, he was officially in remission. 

Schilling announced his cancer diagnosis in February in a statement to ESPN, but did not provide details regarding the type of cancer he is battling.

He subsequently announced he was undergoing radiation treatment, and in April, Schilling's wife, Shonda Schilling, announcedthat her husband was "officially done" with chemotherapy treatment. Shonda Schilling also fought a successful battle against in 2001.
